Booking Information

Here are our booking conditions, together with some useful information about your stay. Please contact us if you have a question or wish to make a booking.

• Weekly bookings run from either Friday to Friday or Saturday to Saturday depending on the property selected. Arrival is from 3.00 pm and departure no later than 10.00 am.
• The price shown for Coach House and Brougham House is for 6 people although there are 4 double or twin bedrooms; if there are 7 or 8 guests or if you wish to use 4 bedrooms but there are 6 guests or fewer the price is increased by 15%. This is done automatically by the booking system.
• Short breaks are usually available from November until Easter, excluding Christmas and New Year. They may also be offered in high season on a last minute basis. These are either three night weekend breaks from Friday to Monday or four night midweek breaks from Monday to Friday. Midweek short breaks are priced the same as weekend breaks and ofer excellent value.
• All prices are in Pounds GB and are fully inclusive of electricity, full central heating, bed linen and towels. We provide one bathsheet and one hand towel per person. Please bring your own beach towels.
• A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the cost of the holiday is required at the time of booking. Reservations will not be treated as complete until the deposit has been received. The balance is payable six weeks prior to the arrival date. If the booking is made within six weeks of the arrival date, the rent must be paid in full at the time of booking. All payments shall be made by cheque or credit card. All cheques should be made payable to Doxford Cottages.
• The full balance will be payable in the event of a cancellation unless we are able to re-let the property. Cancellations may be made by telephone, but must be confirmed in writing. We recommend that you obtain adequate cancellation insurance.
• A highchair, travel cot and stair gate are available at no extra charge, but please bring your own cot linen. You may have as many cots and high chairs as you need!
• If you have someone less able in your party, please contact us to discuss your requirements.
• For insurance reasons, only those guests listed on the booking form may stay in the cottages.
• For the comfort of all of our guests, the cottages are strictly non smoking.
• Registered assistance dogs apart, we do not allow pets.
• It is the guests' responsibility to take good care of the property and to leave it in the same clean and tidy condition as they found it.
• We do not charge a Damage Waiver but we reserve the right to charge for breakages Similarly if a cottage is left in an unsuitable condition we reserve the right to charge for extra cleaning . In both cases we will debit your credit card to cover the costs incurred.
