Spent a civilised hen weekend here in March. What an absolutely FANTASTIC place. We had both the Coach house and Carriage house, both sleeping 8 people comfortably.

Houses are absolutely 5 star, with everything in we could need and more! Immaculately kept and within beatiful grounds which are highly maintained.

On site games room is a great idea.

We pre ordered food and it was in our fridge waiting for us on arrival..... it was superb too would highly recommend it.

Thanks to Sue & John for being so helpful and recommending local taxis and Sunday Lunch at The Pack Horse in Ellingham, it was lovely.

As a group of 16 girls, we all said we would definately be back, with our families and for the 'henniversary' next year!

Thanks for providing us with a great weekend!!

As with our past times at Doxford we had a great time.
House was perfect and we loved sitting on the patio in glorious sunshine with glass of wine watching the wildlife....bliss!

We stayed at the Carriage House and as soon as we walked through the front door we felt at home. We were welcomed with flowers, milk, honey and a bottle of red wine. The accommodation is of a high standard and very spacious for our party consisting of 3 Seniors and 2 Adults.

The Cottages were lovely and warm and the log burner, although we only used it once, as were blessed with good weather most of the week, made for a nice cosy evening when it was wet and cold outside.

The cottages are set in lovely countryside with local walks - we spotted a deer on our first evening out walking. Squirrels and Birds come feeding off the feeders in the garden behind the cottages which was enjoyable to watch from the comfort of our lounge.

The cottages are in an ideal location and we did a lot of sightseeing during the week ... Holy Island, Farne Islands (where we had good sightings of Puffins), Alnwick Castle & Gardens, Housesteads Fort& various sections along Hadrian's Wall, Cragside NT, Northumberlandia (Cramlington), Druridge Bay, Alnmouth, Craser and Newton by the Sea. A jam packed holiday.

Can recommend The Treehouse at Alnwick Gardens for an enjoyable and different dining experience. Note: you may need to book in advance.

There is still lots to explore in the area so we do plan a return visit, maybe a slightly more relaxing one!

I can highly recommend this accommodation.
